Application is made through filling the application form online at the admissions portal. Or filling physical forms which can be obtained from the Admissions Office at either Kampala or Main campus.

  2. Click the "Open a New Ticket" button on the upper right Corner.
  3. Under Contact information, add your Email address, full name and phone number.
  4. Under Help Topic, choose the topic that describes your issue.

  6. Describe clearly the reason(s) for opening a ticket.

For students, clearly indicate your name, registration number, student number, course and year of study.

Ndejje University has seven Faculties and a graduate school. The faculties include;

Main & Lady Irene Campuses

  • The University provides accommodation to students enrolled at our two Luweero Campuses. It is our policy for all year one students at either Lady Irene or Main campuses to be residents. All halls for both male and female students are located at our historical Lady Irene campus.
  • Each student, on admission is attached to a Hall of Residence as shown on the admission letter. Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner is served to all resident students in each hall at a specified time. Students who reside on campus have easy access to University resources such as wireless internet, an ample reading environment and the Library.
  • The University assists non-residents to identify nearby hostels suitable for student accommodation. Rentals are also available to students who wish to have privately arranged accommodation. However, the University does not guarantee the hygiene and suitability for students’ residence of these places.
  • Students on weekend programs who travel from upcountry can use guest houses around the University for Accommodation.
  • To save our students from seeking accommodation off campus, two new halls were officially commissioned by the President of Uganda H.E. Y. K. Museveni at Lady Irene campus. The two modern halls can accommodate over three hundred students and are fitted with world class facilities. Groundbreaking was done for the construction of another hostel near the Lady Irene campus. This is all being done to ensure that all University students at the Main and Lady Irene campuses are accommodated near the facilities relevant to the student’s academic life.

 

Kampala campus.

  • Students at Kampala campus can find hostels or rentals in the neighborhood within walking distance from the University.

The form requests personal information about the applicant such as name, date of birth, qualifications, and contact details. It also requires the applicant to attach documents like a passport photo and copies of academic certificates.

The university has three campuses: Lady Irene, Main, and Kampala. The two Main and Lady Irene are in a rural setting at Ndejje Hill, Luwero District, about 42 kilometers (26 miles) north of Kampala and close to each other.

Ndejje University offers postgraduate programmes at Masters, Diploma and Doctorate levels besides those offered at undergraduate levels. Prospective students should apply through the online admissions portal, or visit any of our Campuses to obtain forms from the Admissions Office fill and return them before the deadline date set by the Admissions Office. Late applications are only accepted if the program space allows. These should be received not later than two weeks after the start of the appropriate Semester; OR not later than a week after the beginning of a Session.

How to apply

Application Forms and other relevant information may be obtained from admissions Offices, at either Main Campus in Ndejje (Luwero District), or Kampala Campus at Mengo - Balintuma Road.

Non-refundable application fee of UG Shs.50,000/= plus Bank charges should be paid from the following banks or bank agents using generated pay-in codes: Banks

After paying, each applicant must attach a copy of the pay-in slip to the Application Form and submit in the application system at https://admissions.ndu.ac.ug/ or Admissions Office.

CAUTION:

Applicants are strongly warned against presenting forged or other people's academic documents to support their applications for admission. Utterance of forged documents or impersonation whenever discovered will lead to cancellation of one’s admission and possible prosecution.

Prof. Olivia Nassaka Banja

Prof. Olivia Nassaka Banja (PhD (University of Edinburgh), MTh (University of Edinburgh), MA (Nottingham University), BD and Dip(ed) (Makerere University) became Vice Chancellor (VC) on the 1st January, 2023.

Please note that applications are open all year round, however we have two main in-takes: August and January each year.

Ndejje is located in Luweero District, approximately 42 kilometres (26 mi), by road, north of Kampala, Uganda's capital and largest city.

Rt. Rev. Dr. Hanninton Mutebi, the assistant Bishop of Kampala Diocese became the University Chancellor on 17th December, 2021. He marks the 2nd bishop to assume the office of Chancellor since inception. He presides over all ceremonial assemblies of the university and confers degrees, diplomas, certificates, titles and distinctions of the University. He also performs an overall supervisory role over the university affairs during his four-year term of office as provided by the charter administrative instruments.

Rev. Can. Prof. Olivia Nassaka Banja (PhD (University of Edinburgh), MTh (University of Edinburgh), MA (Nottingham University), BD and Dip(ed) (Makerere University) became Vice Chancellor (VC) on the 1st January, 2023. She is the first woman to become the VC since inception of NDU, she is a Clergy in the Church of Uganda, where she has served for 29 years and also an Associate professor of the African Christianity.
As the VC, Prof. Nassaka works with the Consortium, the University Council, Deans, and Officers of the University to develop strategy and programs that enhance the University’s eminence among the top-ranked research universities in Uganda and the world; strengthen its position as a preferred destination for many of the world’s leading scholars and students; support the scholarship, education, and research that form the basis of the University’s mission; foster engagement and partnership with community, industry, and government; and uphold the traditions and values that are foundational to the culture NDU.

Dr. Frederick Kakembo, the Deputy Vice Chancellor of Ndejje University is a professional administrator and researcher. Dr. Frederick Kakembo obtained a Bachelors degree in Arts with Education at Makerere University. He did graduate studies leading to Master of Education degree also at Makerere University. Dr. Frederick Kakembo did graduate studies and attained a PhD in Community Education & Training at University Of Pretoria, and a member of Brown University Alumni, USA. Dr. Frederick Kakembo the Deputy Vice Chancellor Ndejje University has served in different roles including; Reviewing the HIV/AIDS Toolkit for Higher Education Institutions in Africa and recommended appropriate online course delivery; Consultancy in a project entitled “Scaling up HIV prevention in Teso sub-region through a Civil Society Partnership with Primary and Secondary schools”; Initiated Partnership between Uganda Christian University (UCU) and Joint Clinical Research Centre (JCRC)

Can. Dr. Charles Kahigiriza, is the University Secretary and Secretary to Council at Ndejje University. He holds a Bachelor of Science (BSc), a Certificate in Leadership and Educational Foundations (CLEF), a Postgraduate Diploma in Education (PGDE), a Postgraduate Diploma in Human Resource Management (PGD-HRM), a Master of Education (MEd), and a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD). He is also a Lay Canon of West Buganda Diocese, responsible for education and interfaith relations.

Mr. Muhumuza Wilfred Kato Atwooki, is the Dean of Students at Ndejje University. Dr. Primrose Nakazibwe

Dr. Primrose Nakazibwe, is the Director of Research and Innovations at Ndejje University. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Development Studies (BA) and a Master’s in Development Studies (MDS) from Mbarara University of Science and Technology (MUST). She earned her PhD in Humanities from Tilburg University in the Netherlands.

Dr. Samuel Sekiziyivu

Dr. Samuel Sekiziyivu, BA.Soc(MAK), PGDE (MAK), MED-Lang Educ, PhD-Lang (MAK), is the Dean of the Faculty of Education at Ndejje University. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Social Sciences (BA.Soc) from Makerere University (MAK), a Postgraduate Diploma in Education (PGDE) from Makerere University, a Master of Education in Language Education (MED-Lang Educ), and a PhD in Language Studies (PhD-Lang) from the same institution.

Dr. Sekiziyivu is a distinguished educator with extensive experience in language education and curriculum development. His leadership is instrumental in advancing the Faculty of Education's mission to train highly qualified educators who will make significant contributions to the field of education both locally and internationally.

Dr. Geoffrey Ssebabi Mutumba, PhD (Energy Economics and Governance) - (Makerere University), MA (Economic Policy and Planning) - (Makerere University), B.A Education (Economics & Geography) - (Makerere University), is the Dean of the Faculty of Business Administration and Management at Ndejje University. He holds a Doctorate in Energy Economics and Governance, a Master's in Economic Policy and Planning, and a Bachelor's in Education with a focus on Economics and Geography, all from Makerere University.

Dr. Mutumba has extensive experience in academia and has also served as a Visiting Lecturer at the United Nations University for Peace in 2024. His leadership is shaped by his deep commitment to research and education, aiming to promote academic excellence and innovative thinking within the faculty.

Dr. Robert Setekera

Dr. Robert Setekera, BSC (MTH/PHY), MSC (Applied MTH), MSC (Industrial MTH), PDEng, Ph.D (Industrial and Applied Mathematics) TU Delft, Netherlands, is the Dean of the Faculty of Science and Computing at Ndejje University. He holds a Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Mathematics and Physics, a Master of Science (MSc) in Applied Mathematics, and a Master of Science (MSc) in Industrial Mathematics. Additionally, he earned a Professional Doctorate in Engineering (PDEng) and a Ph.D. in Industrial and Applied Mathematics from TU Delft, Netherlands.

With a strong background in mathematics and extensive experience in both academic and applied settings, Dr. Setekera is committed to advancing the Faculty of Science and Computing’s mission of fostering innovation and research excellence. His leadership focuses on preparing students for the challenges of the modern scientific and technological landscape.
