Pearl, Photogenic
Ndejje University student of Journalism and Mass Communication has won a treble, Miss Eastern, Miss Talent and Miss Photogenic crowns within a space of two weeks. The 26-year Nabaggala Rose Sandra was crowned First Runners–up of Miss Pearl Eastern Region during the one-day weekend Beauty Pageant in Jinja. She consequently qualified to represent Eastern Region at the national contest due November 2018 in Kampala.
“I am very excited emerging runners-up. This is a very big improvement from last week’s performance where I came fourth. I did not relax thereafter as I had sleepless nights of rehearsal for Miss Pearl contest,” she said after the crowning.
Nabaggala also featured last weekend at the Jinja Beauty Pageant Contest where she was voted Miss Talent and Miss Photogenic.
On top of taking home the two crowns at the first contest she was also named Victoria FM Radio Ambassador at the climax of the contest organized under the theme: Beauty with a purpose.
Overall, the university student emerged fourth overall in the one-day competition held in Jinja Town, East of Kampala Capital City.
“I have learnt a lot from this experience. I will be back next year. Contenders stand warned,” said newly crowned Miss talent.
Having lost the overall Miss Jinja crown, Nabaggala never relented and instead turned all her guns targeting the three remaining accolades on offer. She was indeed rewarded when she beat the 14 contestants hands down.
“As a talented performing artist I am up to the task of training and promoting talent among the rural youth starting from my own backyard Ndejje University and use Victoria FM as its ambassador to market the talent to higher levels,” said the multi talented sports and music artist.
The third year university student has been active in the area of performing arts and modeling since 2009 while at St. Michael Girls’ Primary School in Namutumba District.
Nabaggala has never looked back ever since she stole the eye of the country’s popular Nkwanzi Cultural Troupe based in Jinja Town where she performed from 2009 – 2013.
The Kampala- based Olivia Muwumba Ministries later signed her from Nkwanzi from 2013 – todate to evangelism the Word of God through music
