Ndejje University is a Chartered fast growing Private University. It seeks to
recruit staff to fill the following vacant positions. Applicants are required to
submit handwritten or typed applications (6 copies), detailed CV, photocopies of
supporting and certified academic documents, names and addresses of 3
referees (one of whom should be a Religious Leader) and their telephone

1. Faculty of Law

 Position: Senior Lecturers – 1 Position
 Position: Lecturers – 3 positions

Areas of Specialization:
 Constitutional Law
 Legal Methods
 Business Law

Employment terms: 4 Years Contract, (Salary Scale NDU 5)
Key Duties and Responsibilities
 Administration of all academic matters relating to students and academic
staff including Examinations, Research, Publications and Graduation
 In charge of Planning and Developments of Academic Programs and
ensuring quality education provision
 Planning, development and Reviewing of course material
 Delivering of lectures and demonstrations

 Conducting tutorials and practical classes as may be determined by the
Head of Department.

Person Specifications
 An Honors Bachelor’s degree and Master’s degree in Law from a recognized
Institution of Higher Learning. A PhD will be an added advantage.
 3 years teaching experience and Research with at least three (3)
publications in a recognized academic journal in the area of specialization.
 Experience in Curriculum development, teaching, research and
publication
 Should have supervised at least 3 graduate students.

2. Faculty of Engineering

 Position: Senior Lecturers – 2 Positions

Areas of specialization:

 Water
 Structural
 Mechanical Engineering
Employment terms: 4 years contract, 1 (Salary Scale NDU 5)
Key Duties and Responsibilities

 Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or related field.
 Master’s Degree in Business Administration and PhD is an added

5. ICT Department

 Position: Systems Manager – 1 Position
Employment terms: 4 Years Contract, (Salary Scale NDU 5)
Key Duties and Responsibilities
 In charge of the University website and computer networks
 ICT governance and policy
 Internet management and protocols.
 Manages all audio-visual systems of the University

Person Specification
 A Master’s degree in Information Technology or related field.
 5 years working experience in systems management.
 Good communication and persuasive skills.

6. Human Resource Office

 Position: Human Resource Officer – 1 Position
Employment terms: 3 Years Contract, (Salary Scale NDU 3)
Key Duties and Responsibilities
 Assisting in recruiting staff, developing job descriptions and specifications.
 Advising on pay and remuneration issues and including promotions and
benefits.
 Interpreting and advising on employment policy and labour laws.
 Developing together with the Deans, and Project Planning Officer,
strategies which are considered immediate and long term staff
requirements.
 Planning and sometimes delivering training sessions including induction
of new staff.
 Ensure sufficient staff welfare
 Manage the exit process of staff to the end
 Supervise staff under him/her

Person Specification
A Master’s degree in Human Resource Management or its equivalent and a
minimum of 5 years’ working experience in similar position in a higher institute
of learning.

7. Public Relations Office

 Position: Public Relations Officer – 1 Position
 Reports to: Senior Public Relations Officer
Employment terms: 3 Years Contract, (Salary Scale NDU 6)
PURPOSE OF THE JOB
To implement the public relations policies and strategies of the University and
support the linkage between the University, the public and other organizations
with the aim of projecting the image of the University positively.
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
(a) To prepare and implement public relations plan and programmes which meet
and promote the image of the University.
(b) To make arrangements and maintain positive media relations through press
conferences, articles, press releases, radio and T.V. programmes.
(c) To facilitate and promote the flow and dissemination of information within
the University.
(d) To assist in guiding the public and clients on how, where and when to obtain
the University services.
(e) To assist in coordinating the organization and facilitation arrangements of all
the University’s official and social functions.
(f) To coordinate advertising all the University programmes.
(g) To initiate programmes and activities that will enhance a better
understanding of the internal operations of the University by all members of
the University community.
(h) To advise the Vice Chancellor on press issues and through the press, promote
and protect the image of the University.
(i) To forge beneficial linkages with organizations in aspects relevant to the
achievement of the University’s mission.
(j) To promote good public relations by the University staff dealing or interacting
directly with its public.
(k) To perform any other duties that may be assigned by the Supervisor.

PERSON SPECIFICATIONS
(a) A Bachelor’s degree in Mass Communication, Journalism, Public Relations or
a related field from a recognized University/Institution.
(b) Age Limit: Must be between 25 and 35 years old at the time of application.
(c) Should have a minimum of three years’ experience in Public Relations and
Marketing related duties in a reputable Public or Private Organization.
(d) Good communication, interpersonal and leadership skills.
(e) Should be computer literate

8. Central Registry

 Position: Records Management Officer – 1 Position
Employment terms: 3 Years Contract, (Salary Scale NDU 9)
Key Duties and Responsibilities
 Provision of efficient and effective central registry support services
 Oversee the Department’s central filing system
 Maintain the Department’s Document indexing system
 Prepare and assist with the sealing and recording of documents

 A Bachelor’s degree in Library and Information Science or Office and
Information Management
 3 years working experience

9. Estates Department

 Position: Secretary – 1 Position

Employment terms: 3 Years Contract, (Salary Scale NDU 9)
Key Duties and Responsibilities
 Handling all correspondences and ensuring safe custody of the documents
 Devising and maintaining office systems
 Exhibiting good customer care
 Good communication and persuasive skills
Person Specification
 A Diploma in Secretarial Studies from a recognized institution.
 2 years working experience in a related field
 Knowledge of computer and at list well versed with Microsoft packages i.e.
Word, Excel, PowerPoint

10. Library Department
 Position: Assistant Librarians – 2 Positions
Employment terms: 3 Years Contract, (Salary Scale NDU 6)
Key Duties and Responsibilities
 Handles technical work and information dissemination
 Supervises Junior Officers
Person Specification
 Bachelor’s degree in Library and Information Science or its equivalent.
 3 years’ experience in similar position
 Effective verbal and listening skills.

11. Health Centre
 Position: Clinical Officer – 1 Position

Employment terms: 3 Years Contract, (Salary Scale NDU 8)
Key Duties and Responsibilities
 Clinical Management of both medical and surgical patients
 Handles stock management of drugs, equipment and other items
 Ensure sterility of equipment and other infection control measures
Person Specification
 Bachelor’s degree in Nursing or Registered Nursing for Nurse applicants
 Diploma in Clinical and Community Health from a recognized institution
of higher learning
 Registered with respective professional bodies or medical council
 Good interpersonal relationship and communication skills
 2 years working experience.
