We bring you a graduation success story of Dr. Kakundwa Naome<\/strong>, whose academic journey at Ndejje University reflects resilience, mentorship, and faith in God\u2019s timing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dr. Naome began her higher-education journey at Ndejje University<\/strong> with a Certificate in Business Administration<\/strong>. She describes her early experience as transformative, crediting her facilitators for nurturing her foundation in accounting and finance. \u201cThe facilitators were good; they mentored me well, and it was my first time learning accounting,\u201d she recalls, expressing special gratitude to Dr. Buwule<\/strong> for his guidance and support.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Motivated to advance further, she pursued a Bachelor of Commerce (BCom)<\/strong> degree at Ndejje University, where she excelled with a Second Class Upper<\/strong> and was later retained to serve in the Faculty of Business Administration<\/strong>. Under the leadership of Dr. Milly Kwagara<\/strong>, she received continuous encouragement to further her studies. Through Dr. Kwagara\u2019s mentorship and network, Naome earned a State House scholarship<\/strong> to pursue a Master\u2019s degree at Uganda Christian University<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Her journey did not stop there. With the introduction of the PhD program at Ndejje University<\/strong>, designed by Dr. Milly Kwagara<\/strong> and Dr. Buwule<\/strong>, Naome became one of its pioneer students. Her research focused on Corporate Governance and Financial Performance of SACCOs in Bushenyi District, Uganda<\/strong> \u2014 a study that contributes significantly to understanding accountability and sustainability in local financial institutions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Naome successfully defended both her proposal and PhD thesis<\/strong>, crediting Ndejje University\u2019s supportive environment<\/strong> for her success. \u201cI managed to finish the course due to the supportive environment, which showed me how Ndejje is the best university,\u201d she affirms.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

She extends heartfelt appreciation to the examiners and mentors who guided her through the process \u2014 Dr. Setekera<\/strong>, Prof. Nazarius<\/strong>, Prof. Martha<\/strong>, Dr. Buwule<\/strong>, Dr. Kasiime Grace<\/strong>, Dr. Primerose<\/strong>, Prof. Laura<\/strong> from Makerere University (her external examiner), and Dr. Yiga Lubega<\/strong>. She also acknowledges Ndejje University Management<\/strong>, NEMRA<\/strong>, colleagues from Nkumba University<\/strong>, Victoria University<\/strong>, and her church family<\/strong> for their unwavering support.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In her message to current students, Dr. Naome advises:<\/p>\n\n\n\n
