The Federation of Eastern Africa University Sports (FEAUS) in conjunction with Ndejje University (NDU) and Association of Uganda University Sports (AUUS) are organizing the 12th Eastern Africa University Games 2022 at Ndejje, Uganda on 16th December 2022 to 20th December 2022
The event, commonly known as the EAUG, is a multi-sport university sport event organized in December of every even year (on a 2 years cycle). Athletes from degree awarding institutions, pursuing at least a full time recognised one year academic course, shall be competing in 20 sports disciplines including; Athletics- Track and Field; Badminton; Basketball; Chess; Handball; Hockey; Karate; Netball; Rugby; Scrabble; Soccer; Swimming; Table Tennis; Tae Kwon Do; Tennis; Volleyball; Wood ball; Sport for PWD.
This is a bi-annual University Sports festival that brings together the elites in the region to share and celebrate the tremendous values from sports
“Strengthening the Integration of Eastern Africa Higher Education through University Sports”.

1. To sensitize communities about the role of sports as a major tool in community partnerships and development.
2. To advocate for unity, respect, friendship, fairness, integrity and brotherhood to enhance collaboration with the Universities and the Eastern Africa communities.
3. To support progress through laid out structures and patterns by setting targets and smooth transition in sports administration and management.
Only competitors/athletes who satisfy the eligibility requirements set up by the FEAUS constitution will participate in the games. An eligible athlete shall be;.
b) At least 18 or less than 25 years of age by 1st January in the year of the games or championship.
c) Free from any disciplinary sanction by any sport organization within and outside the country.
d) An amateur as intended by the IOC.
e) One that has not graduated.

Uganda (Association of Uganda University Sports -AUUS) won the bid to host the 12th Edition of the Eastern Africa University Games and Ndejje University was given an opportunity to host them under the auspice of the Federation of the Eastern Africa Sports (FEAUS).
The 12th Eastern Africa University Games are expected to have over 4,000 participants from over 60 Universities from the East African Region including the Democratic Republic of Congo, the new entrants. The participants will compete in 20 disciplines from 16th to 21st December 2022 at the Ndejje University Main Campus.
The host of the games is also obliged to organize a Pre-Games conference which brings together students, officials, National Federations and other key partners involved in the sports movement. This provides an academic platform for discussions on ideas and plans for the betterment of the future of Sports.
Today While Representing the Students in the Region, I accompanied the Federation of Eastern Africa University Sports Federation Heads of Delegations Team and EXCOM during the Inspection of Facilities to be used in the 12th Eastern Africa University Games in Ndejje University , Luwero. We made a stop over at Yokaana Mukasa Hall. It will be one of the Men's halls that will be used. Bishop Yokaana Mukasa was a Bishop in the Luwero Diocese
