- Information for International Students
Welcome to the International Relations Office (IRO) at Ndejje University. The office attends to international (non-Ugandan) people who intend to study or work at Ndejje University and those already studying or working here. The IRO supports international students and staff to enroll and stay at Ndejje University as their study, research or work destination both physically and online.
- The IRO office
- Provides Information &le advice about the available accredited study programs (accreditation is by the Uganda National Council for Higher Education).
- Explains the admission requirements and processes, the study cycle, and other relevant information about study programmes. and helps you to complete your application.
- Orientates you to learn Uganda’s geo-history, social, economic and political environment. This includes information about the local life and culture to help you to adapt to the local context for social integration with people of different languages and cultures. In Liaison with other offices, the IRO augments a feeling “at home while away from home” integrating you with the wider Ndejje University Community.
- Orients you before admission/recruitment and during your study/work at the University (both online and physically).
- Provides information about the location of our campuses, and the available services on the different campuses/sites e.g. the Administration and Faculty venues, Halls of residence, and Sports facilities etc.
- After admission and registration, assists you to acquire a Student Pass.
- The student pass is free for all East African Students. D.R.C., South Sudan, Somalia,
- Burundi, Tanzania, Kenya and Rwanda. Non-East African Students are required to pay
- USD 100. However, refugee students do not require a Student Pass.
- The student pass is a requirement by the Government of Uganda for legal stay in Uganda after you are admitted and registered for studies.

- If you choose to be a resident at the Main Campus in Luweero Bombo, the IRO and the office of the Dean of Students provide assistance for your settlement.
- The IRO follows you up on your academic, social integration and political journey at the University.
- It also supports you to explore and to build or enhance your talents.
- Helps you to liaise with your Country Embassy, on relevant migration issues.
- Offers or links you to psycho-social support services in case you experience immigration challenges.
- International students, including refugees, are expected to stay in close touch with the IRO and the Office of the Dean of Students.
