Research & Innovations
Welcome to the Directorate of Research and Innovations (DRI) of Ndejje University.
The directorate of Research and innovations is largely a function of tailored programs that we expose to the students and staff. An emphasis that greatly enriches the quality of their education to equip them with skills needed to meet the challenges of today’s realities. NDU directorate of Research and Innovation has a strong basic research program, with substantial experience in training undergraduate students, graduate students (MSc and PhD), postdoctoral fellows, and research associates. The Office of the Director (Research) is responsible for research integrity and compliance and maintains close partnerships and collaborations nationally and internationally with high-ranking Institutions and universities, the government, industry, foundations, sponsors and our alumni throughout the world, with a focus on promoting a research culture in the university and globally.
Our research programs reflect the expertise, creativity and initiative of our dedicated faculties, who set the research agenda and have a long tradition of engaging with their colleagues and students to work across the disciplines. Faculty, staff and students from Business, Engineering, Science and Computing, from the Arts, Social sciences, and from Environment and Agricultural science combine to create a diverse and unique research environment. New initiatives, including robotics, nature conservation, water purification, herbal medicine, agriculture, among others continue to break down academic boundaries. They bring together collaborative teams of experts from all academic disciplines to address major societal issues.
This portal highlights some examples of innovative basic and applied research at the University, holding the promise of new solutions to significant problems for the 21st century.

Working together, we aim to provide holistic support to researchers and a ‘one stop shop’ for external partners.
The Directorate has research teams, each specialising in a different area of research and support, much of which is structured on a Faculty-facing basis.
