Ndejje University proudly participated in the Uganda Education Expo 2025, held at Donatus Conference Centre in Bujumbura, Burundi, on February 15, 2025. The event, organized by the Uganda Embassy in Bujumbura in collaboration with key stakeholders from the education sectors of Uganda and Burundi, provided a platform for institutions to showcase their contributions to education and foster partnerships within the East African Community.
As one of the leading higher education institutions in Uganda, Ndejje University was honored to present its diverse academic programs, innovative research initiatives, and commitment to academic excellence. Representatives from the University engaged with Burundian education stakeholders, sharing insights into Ndejje’s holistic approach to education, which emphasizes critical thinking, problem-solving, creativity, and effective communication.
Ndejje University was represented by Charlene Mugalula, Ashaba Martin, and Mbabazi Hamala. Charlene Mugalula, the University’s Public Relations Officer, delivered a speech highlighting the various faculties at Ndejje University, including the Faculty of Science & Computing, Faculty of Social Sciences & Arts, Faculty of Health Sciences, Faculty of Engineering & Survey, Faculty of Business Administration & Management, Faculty of Education, Faculty of Environment & Agriculture, and the Graduate School. She also emphasized the Higher Education Certificate (HEC) program, which offers students who did not perform well at the A’ Level an opportunity to join the University. Additionally, she noted that all courses offered by Ndejje University are accredited by the National Council for Higher Education.

The Uganda Education Expo 2025 highlighted the pivotal role of education in regional development and integration. Ndejje University took this opportunity to demonstrate how its programs align with the enhanced education curriculum introduced by the Ministry of Education of Uganda, aimed at equipping learners with essential skills for the modern world.
With over 25 universities and secondary schools from Uganda participating, the Expo served as a vital networking platform for educational institutions, fostering collaboration between Uganda and Burundi. Ndejje University showcased its efforts in promoting quality education, contributing to human capital development, and supporting the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals, particularly those related to education, decent work, and economic growth.
Ndejje University’s participation in the Expo underscores its commitment to regional cooperation and academic excellence. The University remains dedicated to building strong partnerships across the East African Community and beyond, ensuring that its students are well-prepared to contribute meaningfully to societal development.
The Uganda Education Expo 2025 not only strengthened the bilateral relations between Uganda and Burundi but also provided Ndejje University with an invaluable platform to share its success story and explore new opportunities for collaboration in the education sector.
