The Directorate for ICT Support officially kicked off the E-Learning Week on 25th February 2026 with a strong and impactful start. The first day was dedicated to supporting learners in navigating the University’s e-learning systems and resolving various ICT-related challenges.
Students turned up in good numbers and actively engaged with the ICT support team, seeking guidance on how to effectively use the University’s Learning Management System. Throughout the day, learners received practical assistance on how to access the e-learning platform, successfully log in to their student portals, and enroll in their respective course units.
The support activities were led by the DICTS Team Leader, Mr. Allan Walusimbi, who worked alongside Miss Nassali Victor and Mr. Masigo Mike to support both students and staff at the Main Campus. At the Kampala Campus, Miss Shalom Namusisi, the Web Administrator, together with Mr.Odeke Jonah, provided hands-on assistance to students, ensuring that all technical concerns were promptly addressed.
In addition, the ICT team provided step-by-step guidance on how students can access their academic results online. Many learners who had previously experienced login difficulties, forgotten passwords, or enrollment challenges were able to get immediate solutions and continue with their academic activities without disruption.
Beyond the Learning Management System support, the team also addressed a wide range of ICT-related issues, including email access, portal navigation, and system troubleshooting. The interactive sessions created an opportunity for learners to ask questions and receive real-time assistance from the technical team.
Day One of the E-Learning Week has set a positive tone for the rest of the activities scheduled throughout the week. The Directorate for ICT Support remains committed to ensuring that all learners are confident and equipped to fully utilize the University’s digital learning platforms.
The E-Learning Week continues with more specialized sessions aimed at enhancing the teaching and learning experience in the digital environment.
