Abstract
This study examines the influence of employee welfare on service delivery. The objectives of the study are to; establish the influence of social welfare, effect of work life balance on service delivery, assess the relationship between economic welfare on service delivery. The study adopted a cross-sectional research design and gathered qualitative and quantitative data. Results revealed that employee welfare was significantly correlated to service delivery. Social welfare, work life balance positive associative significant relationships however, economic welfare had no associative relationship to service delivery as follows; social welfare and service delivery (r=0.543**; p=0.000); work life balance and service delivery (r=0.461**; p=0.000); economic welfare and service delivery (r=0.210; P= 0.076). In conclusion only two aspects of employee welfare are predictors of service delivery. It can be concluded that a conducive work environment with proper air conditioning and enough work space is still lacking and employees are overloaded with work due to under staffing. The study recommends an increment in the budget to accommodate employee welfare to provide social welfare, work life balance and economic welfare services that is glaringly lacking in Masaka city council.
