Faculty of Health Sciences
The Faculty of Health Science has its home at the Main campus of Ndejje University. The faculty is committed to producing knowledgeable, community oriented (the Good Samaritan in community) and creative medical personnel to meet the demands of the present and the future.

Dr. Nelson Wasswa
Dr. Nelson Wasswa serves as the Dean of the Faculty of Health Sciences at Ndejje University. He holds a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBChB) and a Postgraduate Diploma in Medical Education (PGDME), both from Makerere University (MAK). He also earned a Diploma in Clinical Medicine and Community Health from the School of Clinical Officers and Community Health (SOCO) in Mbale, and a Higher Diploma in Health Leadership and Management from Uganda Allied Health and Management Sciences (UAHAMS). Currently, Dr. Wasswa is pursuing a Master of Science in Public Health (MSc MPH) at Clark International University.
Our History
The Faculty has one functional department; Department of allied Health Sciences. We work with General military Hospital Bombo, to do practice all that is learnt in the lecture room so as to gain real world experiences for our students.
Philosophy
A Medical personnel graduating from Ndejje University Faculty of Health Sciences will have acquired the Knowledge, Attitude and Skills to be;
- An expert Compassionate Health Care provider – conversant with the scientific basics of health and disease, capable of addressing a wide variety of health problems and able to adapt to working in a variety of settings anywhere in the world.
- Health promoter, disease preventer, community leader and community health advocate committed to addressing the social, economic and environmental determinants of health and disease.
- Team player – an effective member of the healthcare team comprising of fellow health professionals, the patient, family and the community
- Health professional adhering to established professional code of conduct and placing the needs of the patient and society above own financial considerations.
- Health leader and manager able to motivate and supervise others for optimum productivity and cost-effective utilization of health resources
