Ndejje University’s Year Four Engineering students are putting theory into practice through real-world applications. As part of their Environmental Engineering II course, led by Roice K. Bwambale, Research Coordinator at the Water Research and Development Centre, the students are actively assessing water quality within the university community and proposing innovative solutions to address identified challenges.
Under the mentorship of Mr. Sulaiman, the University’s dedicated Water Laboratory Technician, the students conducted water sampling and testing at the Water Centre. Mr. Sulaiman, who accompanied them for more than five hours in the field, described the exercise as “truly enjoyable”, noting how rewarding it was to see students applying classroom knowledge to solve practical problems.
This hands-on project not only enhances students’ technical skills but also strengthens their ability to think critically about environmental issues. By engaging in project-based learning, Ndejje University continues to demonstrate its commitment to producing industry-ready graduates capable of addressing complex, real-world challenges.
The University commends the efforts of the students, Roice K. Bwambale, Mr. Sulaiman, and the entire Water Research and Development Centre for their contribution to making this impactful learning experience possible.
