Ndejje University today officially flagged off a total of 142 sportsmen and women, together with eight delegates, for the 20th AUUS Games 2025. The send‑off ceremony on the Main Campus was a celebration of faith, dedication and the unwavering spirit of our athletes.
The Head of Delegation thanked university management for the facilitation, the coaches for their rigorous training, and the students for their unwavering support. “We are confident that we are going to win because we are taking quality,” he said.
*Guiding Verse*
Philippians 4:13 was declared the team’s guiding scripture: _“I can do all things through Christ who gives me strength.”_ The devotion, led by Rev. Canon Latimer Muwanguzi, reminded everyone that they are made of Christ, clothed in the anointing of the Holy Spirit, fortified by faith and equipped with unconquerable hearts. “We are unstoppable,” the reverend declared.
*Message from the Vice Chancellor*
Rev. Canon Prof. Olivia Nassaka Banja, affirmed that God has blessed the university this year. Citing Matthew, she assured the contingent that _God is with us_ as they embark on the games. “Everything will fall into place by His word,” she said, encouraging the athletes to conduct themselves with integrity, to worship God through their talents, and to market the university at every opportunity.
“The victory is for God. We have all prayed for you. Go forth with confidence, and you shall not return empty‑handed,” the Vice Chancellor concluded.
The university community looks forward to cheering the team on as they represent Ndejje University at the AUUS Games. May the symbol of victory they carry bring glory to God and honor to the institution.
