The long MARI weekend concluded with a memorable Senior Six Dedication Service at Gayaza High School, led by Ndejje University’s Vice Chancellor, Rev. Canon Prof. Olivia Nassaka Banja.
Drawing inspiration from Matthew 6:25–34, Prof. Banja encouraged the candidates and their parents to place their confidence in what they have learned over the years and to trust God for the final step of their academic journey—from Nursery to A-Level. She reminded them that faith and hard work go hand in hand, and that God’s guidance is key to success in all aspects of life.
In her address, Prof. Banja also highlighted the Higher Education Certificate (HEC) programme offered at Ndejje University, designed to provide a second chance to students who may not have obtained two principal passes at A-Level. Through the tri-semester HEC, students can bridge academic gaps and pursue degree programmes in various disciplines including Humanities, Biology, and Physics.
The dedication service marked a fitting close to the MARI outreach weekend, reinforcing Ndejje University’s continued commitment to supporting learners at every stage of their educational journey.
