Ndejje University continues to solidify its reputation as a leader in technological innovation and research, as it takes center stage at the NCHE Expo 2025 at Kamukuzi, Mbarara District Headquarters Open Grounds, from 27th to 29 March 2025, Theme: Strategies challenges and best practices for Artificial Intelligence integration in Higher Education in Uganda The University’s AI Research Center and Water Research and development Center Center are spearheading the exhibition with groundbreaking projects designed to address real-world challenges in education, agriculture.
A team of experts from Ndejje University, led by Deputy Academic Registrar Mr. Frederick M. Kyazze, is representing the institution at the expo.

1. The NDU Lesson Plan Generator
Education is at the heart of Ndejje University’s innovation agenda. The NDU Lesson Plan Generator is an AI-powered tool designed to assist educators in developing well-structured, curriculum-aligned lesson plans with ease. By automating the planning process, this system not only saves time for teachers but also ensures a high standard of education delivery across different learning institutions. 2. WASHtsApp: Your WhatsApp Assistant for Clean Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene

Targeting both urban and rural communities, WASHtsApp empowers individuals with crucial health tips and best practices, contributing to improved sanitation and hygiene nationwide. 5. The NDU Smart Irrigation System Prototype
Water conservation and efficient irrigation are critical for sustainable agriculture. The NDU Smart Irrigation System is an IoT-powered prototype designed to monitor soil moisture levels and automate water distribution. By optimizing water use, this innovation enhances crop yields, promotes environmental sustainability, and supports precision farming.
