Learning Outcomes
Graduates of the Diploma in Civil Engineering program will be able to:
- Apply fundamental principles of civil engineering in the design and construction of infrastructure
- Demonstrate practical skills in surveying, setting out, and construction site supervision
- Interpret engineering drawings and use basic design and construction tools effectively
- Apply knowledge of building materials, soil mechanics, and structural principles in real projects
- Assist in planning, managing, and executing civil engineering projects in compliance with standards
Entry Requirements – Diploma in Civil Engineering
Direct Entry
- Uganda Certificate of Education (UCE) with at least 5 passes
- Uganda Advanced Certificate of Education (UACE) with at least 1 principal pass in Mathematics or Physics
Diploma Entry
- Relevant Certificate in Construction, Building, or related technical field (Credit or Upper Second), recognized by NCHE
Mature Age Entry
- A minimum score of 50% in a recognized Mature Age Entry Examination
International Applicants
- Secondary school completion equivalent to Uganda’s A-Level
- Academic documents must be equated where necessary
- Proof of English proficiency if prior education was not in English
