Program Overview
The Diploma in Clinical Medicine and Community Health is designed to equip students with essential knowledge and practical clinical skills required to diagnose, treat, and manage common diseases at primary healthcare level. The program emphasizes community-based healthcare, preventive medicine, and clinical practice to prepare competent health professionals who can support healthcare delivery systems effectively.
Students are trained in key areas such as clinical diagnosis, pharmacology, pathology, maternal and child health, community health practices, and disease prevention strategies.

Learning Outcomes
Graduates of the Diploma in Clinical Medicine and Community Health program will be able to:

Entry Requirements – Diploma in Clinical Medicine and Community Health
Direct Entry
- Uganda Certificate of Education (UCE) with at least 5 passes
- Uganda Advanced Certificate of Education (UACE) with at least one principal pass in Biology and a subsidiary pass in Chemistry or related science subjects
Diploma Entry
- Relevant Certificate in Health Sciences (e.g., Nursing Assistant, Medical Laboratory, or Clinical Medicine Certificate) with at least Credit or Upper Second, recognized by NCHE
Mature Age Entry
- A minimum score of 50% in a recognized Mature Age Entry Examination
International Applicants
- Secondary school completion equivalent to Uganda’s A-Level
- Academic documents must be equated where necessary
- Proof of English proficiency if prior education was not in English
