Ndejje University continues to expand its collaborative efforts in Research and Innovation by holding a strategic meeting with the Natural Chemotherapeutics Research Institute (NCRI) to discuss the draft of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU). The MoU focuses on fostering cooperation in education, training, and scientific and technological research in the field of complementary medicine.
The meeting, which took place at the NCRI premises, brought together key representatives from both institutions. On behalf of Ndejje University, the delegation included:
- Dr. Wasswa Nelson, Dean of the Faculty of Health Sciences
- Dr. Birgit Bethold, an expatriate from Coworkers Germany currently attached to the University
- Mr. Cajo Francis, Grants and Partnership Officer of Ndejje University
The team from the Natural Chemotherapeutics Research Institute was led by Dr. Grace Nambatya, Director of the institute.
This engagement marks a significant step toward building sustainable partnerships that advance research and training in complementary and alternative medicine, aligning with both institutions’ goals of enhancing healthcare through scientific innovation and community-based solutions.
The discussion on the draft MoU highlighted areas of mutual interest and laid the groundwork for future collaboration in joint research projects, staff and student exchanges, and capacity building.
