Today, Ndejje University had the honor of hosting a delegation from Uganda Martyrs University on a comprehensive benchmarking visit to our main campus. The visiting team, led by Mr. Kasozi Brian and Mr. Grace Iga Edward, comprised key members from several critical departments, including Finance, Academics, Library, Quality Assurance, and ICT.
The purpose of their visit was to gain insights into how Ndejje University has successfully integrated ICT across various departments and operational units, with a particular focus on the use of our Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system. This system plays a pivotal role in enhancing efficiency, streamlining processes, and improving service delivery across the university.
Upon arrival, the delegation was warmly welcomed by a team from Ndejje University, led by Eng. Isaac Kasana, the Director for ICT Support, Mr. Walusimbi Allan, (AIS)DICTS, Mr. Stephanas Galinnya, University Librarian, Mrs. Florence Nakamya, Senior Assistant Academic Registrar for Exams, and members from the Quality Assurance Directorate.
The visit began with an in-depth presentation and discussion on how the ERP system supports various university functions, especially in the departments represented by the delegation. The focus was on showcasing how ICT is not just an enabler but a core component in driving the academic and administrative excellence of Ndejje University.
The visit concluded with an interactive session where the delegation and Ndejje University’s team exchanged ideas and best practices. This engagement was a valuable learning experience for both institutions, fostering collaboration and mutual growth.
The benchmarking visit was a testament to the importance of knowledge sharing and collaboration in higher education. It underscored the critical role of ICT in transforming university operations and enhancing the overall educational experience.
